Visiting Grandpa Ken and Grandma Carol

Parker took his first plane ride to see Grandpa Ken and Grandma Carol! We had 2 flights each way and he did very good...except for the last 20 minutes or so of the last leg back. I thought that the passengers would have to take a pick...me walking up and down the isle or listening to Parker cry. I think they were happy with my decision...although some could have moved their elbows in!

While we were there, Grandma Carol noticed a second tooth popping out and the top of his gums appeared to have bumps where more teeth were about to come out!! Right now he has 2 teeth completely out on the bottom and 1 trying to come through on the top.

Parker got to see Mountains and big dogs! Grandpa Ken read him books on trains and Grandma Carol helped at bath time. The time there went way too fast! Now...if we can just convince Grandma and Grandpa to move closer...

Feet, Teeth and Beautiful Bree

Parker has been reaching for his feet for quite some time now but lately his feet are all he wants to play with.

The Tooth~

His tooth is completely out now and he's been having some trouble sleeping through the night until last night. They say that once one tooth comes in, they all kind of start popping up. We went to the pharmacy last night and picked up some baby orajel...IT WORKS WONDERS! We rubbed it on his bottom gums where his tooth is and he zonked out and slept through the night for the 1st time in a week. We think his mouth has been bothering him and he wakes up in pain.

Beautiful Baby Bree~

I had the pleasure of meeting little Miss Aubrey Sapp (Bree) this past weekend. I wish I had my camera with me to take a picture this cute little girl! Bree is a little over 7 months old and can already hold her sippy cup, walk with momma's help and makes the cutest baby noises. She is so precious and I am so happy for Allison and Nick and their beautiful bundle of joy!

I'll be seeing them again at the end of this month and I won't forget my camera this time~

The tooth and funny faces

Our little Parker has a tooth! On Sunday we noticed a little white spot on his bottom gum. We felt it and what do you know...it's a tooth! As of today...it's already a sharp little thing! He plays with his bottom lip a lot now. I think he is trying to figure out what's in his mouth. ...and yes...Parker is always a messy boy after daycare.

During reading time, Michael and Parker started making funny faces at the camera. Parker is probably wondering why mommy always has this thing in her hand that flashes at him.

Just like dad...

Parker enjoys a book every evening with his daddy...when we can get his attention. Reading time is just before bath time. Parker listens to Michael read and always ends up butting his head right up to his daddy. He then starts kicking his feet around and playing with Michael's face.

Busy Busy Bees...

The George family has been busy busy busy. We just moved into our first house and moving with a baby is one tough task. Thank goodness we had Uncle Kurt and Uncle Clif to help. It has taken us a little longer to get situated but I think we're just about set. Here are a few pictures of Parker over the last couple of weeks.

He had his 4 month shots/appt. this past Friday. Lil' P is 25", 15lbs-6oz and has a BIG HEAD! He is in the 75th percentile with his head...other than that, the Doctor says he is a poster child for average, normal growth, etc... I think his big head is what confused the Doctors from the very beginning. They typically measure the circumference of the head (and abdomen) to get an estimate of his weight...he fooled everyone! I think it just means he'll be one smart cookie!

We just started feeding him rice cereal. Doing so with a spoon is VERY fun and MESSY! They say it should help him sleep more through the night. Unfortunately...it's not working out that way. He was sleeping from about 10/11pm until 5am and now all of the sudden he is waking up at about 330am and then at 5am. Last night he woke at 1230, 330 and then 525. We hope it's just a coincidence and that maybe he's realizing he is sleeping by himself now...which by the way has been very hard on Momma...I have to check on him every so often and I am sleeping with one ear open even more. As my Momma says...separation anxiety is tough...and my Daddy and Michael say I've got to get over it and I say...I'm working on it!!!

Parker is 'talking' much more these days. He just kind of goes off sometimes blurting out all kinds of vowels and sometimes you can hear the D's and M's...hopefully he's preparing to say Momma and Daddy. We can't wait for that day!

We are anxiously counting down the days for us to travel to Colorado so Parker can meet his Grandpa Abell. We can't wait to step off the plane so Parker can see the person who he seems to take a lot of characteristics from. Flying will indeed be a challenge but not too many 4+ month old babies can say they flew...well...they can't say much anyways! We keep telling Parker that he'll be able to ride a tractor, see mountains, hear coyotes and drive in a big truck. He is excited!
