Giggles

Last night we were preparing Parker for his evening nap. Michael started tickling him on his belly and under his arms. I was in the kitchen preparing dinner when all of the sudden I heard the cutest giggling I have ever heard. Parker was actually laughing! I tried to catch a picture of it but I am not sure if you can tell that he's truly laughing.

To hold or not to hold...

Parker has decided that he is old enough now (3-1/2 months) to hold his own bottle. He doesn't realize though that it's getting in the way of him actually eating! He tries so hard to hold on to it , then plays with the bottle, then cries because he wants more food!

Bubbles

Parker has discovered how to blow bubbles with his mouth. He comes home from daycare now with a bag full of clothes because they have had to change him multiple times throughout the day because of his bubbles! We think he may be teething as well. When Michael and I have rubbed our finger on his upper gum there are ridges in the front. He has also been sucking on his fingers a lot and likes the cold teething ring. Along with the bubble blowing, he is also drooling all over the place! We have to say...it is the cutest thing!

A stocking was hung by the chimney with care

'Twas the afternoon before Christmas and all through the house...not a person was stiring (it was nap time). A knock at the door and what to our suprise but a UPS man with a box of large size. A present inside said to open right away. Parker's 1st Christmas stocking...hip hip horray! Handmade by Grandma Abell with love...yay! What more could a little boy ask for on his 1st Christmas day.

Four generations of George men

Parker met his Great Grandpa George this past weekend...and all of his Great Aunts and Uncles and Cousins. Parker had been a little fussy all day long (a little overwhelmed we think from everyone standing in line to hold him!). When we handed him over to Grandad he instantly calmed down and just watched everyone with his Great Grandpa.

We can't wait for Parker to meet his Grandpa Abell, Great Grandpa Abell and all of his family in California.

Everywhere Parker goes, Sunset goes too...

Our 'favoritest' doggy in the whole world is Sunset! Sunset is sure to tell us when Parker is crying or making any kind of noise. Parker can be in the bedroom and we can hear him crying while we're sitting in the living room. Sunset will run in to the bedroom then run back out and stand in front of us and just stare as if she is trying to tell us "hello, don't you hear him"? Yes Sunset we hear him! She is the best 'big sister' to Parker and we can't wait for Parker and Sunset to be the best of friends.

Everyone is doing it!

Alright...Michael and I decided to give in to the blogging. We love reading everyone's and often wonder..."how do they have time to write stuff all the time". Well, we're going to give it a try. We want to share Parker and his progress growing into a big boy with our friends and family.

He is growing so quickly. Everyone tells you before your baby even comes into this world...don't blink...they grow so fast...before you know it he'll be 18 and moving out of the house. Parker is 13 1/2 weeks now and it seems like yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital. Everyday it's something new with him. From a new coo to a new facial expression. We love it and wouldn't change a single thing!
